Land of the Dead review

there is rarely ever a good zombie movie, and i can definetly say that this is not one of them. Land of the Dead, written and Directed by George A. Romero , and starring Simon Baker, John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper. This Movie is pretty much about how in the future there is a city which is caged off to the rest of the world. and its caged off for a reason. its surrounded by ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!!!, anyway, these Zombies are different( of course they are still dead, and they still eat people and walk slow) these Zombies are ......not mindless? what!!! yes and they also have feelings for their fellow zombies. also these zombies are just trying to live the life that they had before they became zombies. like for instance there is a zombie that was a gas station attendant so he stays there at the station and occasionally tries to fill up non existing cars. its very amusing to see zombies trying to play instruments and couple zombies walking hand and hand. anyway, in the city The wealthy live in sealed skyscrapers as the poor fend for themselves on the streets. there are teams that go outside the city to get supplies and kill a few zombies. well ummm long story short the zombies learn to use guns and kinda swim, they get in the city and umm that's it.

I can just say that when a zombie movie has more guns and explosions than actual suspense and frightening moments, I wouldn't classify it as a horror movie anymore, it was pretty much an action movie. Oh god how I hate when directors try to make modern, hip, horror movies. it just never works out. George A. Romeros older stuff was better, like the original Dawnof the dead. but now he comes out with crap like this and slightly better crap like the Dawn of the Dead remake. I hate stuff like this, this is why I also hate John Carpenter and Wes craven. ahhhhh just make a freaking scary movie. no stupid teen parties, or tons of guns. ok anyway the only two zombie movies I really liked were 28 Days and Shaun of the dead. go see those movies instead, don't waste your time or money on this movie. 3 out of 10

Longest Yard movie review

ok well heres my second movie review, this time its the Longest Yard with Andam Sandler and Chris Rock. well first of all its pretty much the story of a washed out football player (adam sandler) who ends up in jail after he, being drunk, takes his girlfriends bently on a high speed chase. so he crashes the car and goes to a redneck filled prison in texas. in there he is left with a choice, to spend his three year sentence even longer, or to round up a bunch of the convicts and make a football team to play a fixed game against the gaurds. I thought that this movie was pretty good for it being a football movie( which I usually don't care to watch) but I don't think it stood up to Sandlers older films like The Water boy or happy gilmore. but what I did notice was that Sandlers comedy has mellowed out and is not as over the top as it used to be. I would say that the longest Yard was pretty much the same tone through out without any really laugh out loud funny parts. but it still did have its moments. what I thought was the funniest thing about this movie was that they tried to make Adam Sandler look like some tough bad ass........hes too cuddley. anway I give it a 6 out of 10

well, I haven't posted in a a while. I have to get back on track, anyway, somthing worth mentioning( or what at least i thought was cool) today at union station, I was waiting for the train to go home, then i saw them, THE AMISH, its not uncommon to see amish come to the city but what was different about this site was that they had mcdonalds. .....i know your problel wondering why is that interesting. well, it is to me so lay OFF.

oh man how I need a new job. I need somthing that pays better. right now i work at crazy knickels in westmont. its okay, i do get paid cash, but i'm just not happy there. i'm not making enought money. you can help me with that problem by buying something at my cool shop.."wink" "wink". I have to update it, haven't been working on it in a while. I never wanted to make money the conventional way.

Night time

once again I'm blogging late night. I don't know why this always happens to me. I'm kind of sad becasue I'm falling behind on my activeness and schedualing. I have seem to become less productive, or more I am less willing to be productive. I've been meaning to exersice but I haven't got around to it.and what is worst of all I lost my muse. I have been having trouble drawing. I just can't seem to draw anymore. this happened yesterday when I tried to draw something and just felt like I was terrible at art. I was kind of depressed, luckly Jenn(the love of my life and greatest artist and writer ever) cheered me up and helped me get part of my muse back. the problem is that I can't seem to get dynamic poses down, I'm tired of only being able to draw front on, stif drawings they seem to never carry the motion I would like them to. Im jelous of my friend Tabi sometimes. she is still learning how to draw yet I see so much creativity and motion in her drawing, sure they are not always super detailed and she can't draw hands yet her drawing have the one thing I want. she has so much potential to get really good. well....thatas enough of my ranting, I will continue to draw and strive to be productive its, just that once in a while you get real down and just need someone to pick you up.

Wii is coming

I realized that the majority of my posting is done at night. but besides that, Nintendo Wii has finally got a realease date and price hurray. its coming out november 19 and is priced at $250. go to www.joystiq.com for more info. but honestly who isn't excited about Wii, I know i'm getting one. Ps3's $600 price tag kind of makes people look the other way. if I just want fps and better graphics I would just update my pc's video card. PS3 and xbox360 got nothing on Wii.

New layout

I did some designing. I thought if this is called thesoviets cave then I should have a soviet theme. I designed a new logo and yes that is my face up there. and yess im trying to be lennin lol. I added a new chat feature too so feel free to leave messages and such. anyway let me know what you think of my new design. Im really getting into this whole blogging thing

Web Site

I have decided that I am going to make a website that is dedicated to my soon to be web comic. I started making this strip, about a year ago and I have a good number already complete. I'm going to get a copyright first, I'm always afraid to put my original stuff online, that is why copyright will make me feel secure and no one can steel it. So now come the struggle of making a decent website finding a cheap server and domain. if anyone knows really cheap domains and servers let me know please. Im still going to keep this blog of course, cause blogging is fun. I'll keep you updated on my website and let you know when its up and ready, then you'll get to read my comic strip hurray.

My 1st Movie review

I thought that I would give writing movie reviews a try. so if I'm not that good tell me what i can do to make my writing better. so for today's first ever movie review by Paul khailo I watched Lucky Number Slevin. Directed by Paul McGuigan and written by Jason Smilovac. This "a man being in the wrong place at the wrong time" type of movie but with an interesting twist that brings all questions answered and turns the film from a cool, hip type comedy to a very serious sad film. A case of mistaken identity lands Slevin( Josh Hartnett) into a unfortunate situation between two rival crime bosses, The Boss ( Morgan Freeman) and The Rabbi ( Ben Kingsley). Slevin, who is mistaken for Nick Fisher, Has to find 33 thousand dollars and assassinate a man. All the while he is being watched by a detective, and infamous hitman Goodkat( Bruce Willis). Slevin Plays it cool in the entire film, never getting shaken up even when getting beat up constantley. this movie felt a little bit like Snatch at times with its very smooth and witty dialogue, but sadly it wasn't as funny as Snatch, maybe its because they didn't have British acsents. The film overall I felt was strong in telling the strory, but you are left confused at times and kind of get annoyed because you stay confused untill the end where everything unfolds. I Give it a 7 out of 10

my AMV

I am now working on my AMV....god, just gettiing the footage ready takes a long time. Im not totally happy with the first 7seconds yet but im getting there. if you want to make a good amv i'm telling you it takes alot of time and alot of hardrive space for dvd quality. I'll keep you posted on my status.

R.I.P

its sad to say but our little furry chipmunk, Baby, past away at 7:38pm. me and jenn came to check on him and well, he wasn't breathing. I felt him and he was cold and stiff. I didn't know how to feel at that moment. I wrapped him up in cloth and we went over to my house where i had already dug a hole about a month ago for no reason. but now it actually had a reason. After we had buried him I finally felt sad, but it wasn't because it had died because it wasn't in pain anymore. but its because of the ignorance of people. how could someone be so uncompassionate. I pretty sure there were alot of people that saw it before me and could have done something. I just don't know why people don't care. now, i know there are those that do but for the majority, they are selfish beings which just take and don't give back to this world.
Before Baby died we, went over to an animal hospital to see if they could help or at least give us some advise...but no. apparently if its not i cat or a dog nobody cares. Is there any good hearted people out there. they couldn't even give us advise. anyway, just the thought of how something so innocent can die because of such a cruel world gets me sad. most people wouldn't care, oh its just road kill they say. I can't take people like that, everyone could always help something in need. this world is made of love and peace lets not forget that.

Interesting Morning

well, I woke up at 7:00 I had to catch the 8am train. so I took my time. then when i was leaving I realized that I left my bike(i ride my bike everywhere) at my girlfriend jenn's house. I had to run to get my bike than had to go to the bank to get money for the train. I did'nt get far beacause I saw a dead(or thought to be dead) chipmunk. I went over to move it off the road. and to my suprise it was still alive. no external injuries but it was probably bruised inside. I coudn't just leave it there so i called jenn and gave it to her to take care of while i ran to the bank. now as i was riding I felt something hit me in the cheek, it felt like a fat rain drop...............it was crap from a bird. after i cleaned it off I was now really in a hurray. I got my money actually caught my train went to school and came back to check on baby(the chipmunks new name) . i hope he makes it through all this, everyone wish him the best. i'll keep you posted on his condition

AMV

I have finaly decided what anime to use......Naruto. its really popular now so i said why not. now here comes the long process of making it. ripping all those dvds omg. and then the editing itself, then touching it up and then finally perfection. go here to see some of my other amvs. oh and go back to school tomorrow............and yes i'm happy about that

i've been thinking

I have to get a few new things. first off i want to buy a digital camera. i want to take pics and post some of the weird comeupings i find and see. i also want a macbook, the black one looks really nice. i think i'll get that one, problem though is money, i don't have enough, i have to get a creditcard to be able to buy it. i don't know exactly how to go about getting one. i'm kind of scared......debt.......ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. anywayz, I also want an airsoft rifle. need to do some urban assualt thingy. yeah ok toshka.

hmmmmmm

well, i didn't wake up at 6am like i said, but i geuss its okay to sleep in some times, I have to get back on scheduale and be productive. Im going to start on a new anime music video. i just dont know what anime or song to use yet. go to youtbe to check out some of my other amvs. my username is sniperred. yup. my goal is to actually try to post every day i hope i can keep it up especially during school. by the way i go to columbia in chicago, im a film student.

sleepy and half naked

well it's 3am and im sleepy and in my undies.......they are blue. i kind of wish i was wearing my camo one's. but tomorrow is another day .....wait it's 3am its the next day hurray, better change. but before i do i will take a 3 hour nap and get back up at 6, exercise, and eat a good breakfast. oh and shower too, hahahahaha , i'll get back with another post in 4 hours hopefully if i dont over sleep
